Join us Saturday, March 7 for a free tai chi film night at Babcock Presbyterian Church, 8240 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21286. Bring food and drinks to share from 7pm before the films start at 7:30 pm. This event is free and open to all. Bring family and friends. Kids welcome.

In our feature film, The Forbidden Kingdom, legendary martial arts stars Jackie Chan and Jet Li come together onscreen for the first time ever. The movie tells the story of an American teenager who discovers the legendary staff weapon of an ancient Chinese sage and warrior in a Chinatown pawnshop. With the ancient relic in hand, the teenager unexpectedly finds himself traveling back to ancient China to join a crew of warriors to return the weapon and save the ancient warrior.

We will also show brief clips of the Taiwan’s U-Theatre who gave an incredible performance last fall in Towson which included taiko drumming and dance moves based on tai chi including the tai chi staff. We will also show video of real tai chi masters demonstrating their skills.

Babcock Church is one mile south of Beltway exit 29 between Putty Hill Ave. and Taylor Avenue.  Use entrance with the red awning that says “Heritage”.  For more information call Baltimore Tai Chi at  410 296-4944.

This film is being shown for educational purposes.
